Inviting Someone to Your Account

You can give a colleague access to your Rumspeed Portal account at any time. Only the account owner can do this.

Send the invitation

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner, then Team Settings
  2. Scroll to Invite Team Member
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Choose a role (see below)
  5. Click Send Invitation

They'll get an email with a link to join. The link expires in 7 days.

Choosing a role

Role What they can do
Project Manager Works in the account and views its services — including requesting site launches. Billing and team management stay with you.
Viewer Views the account and its services — sites, domains, invoices, launch progress — without making changes.

You can change someone's role later from the same page, so pick the closest fit and adjust if needed.

What happens on their end

  • New to the portal: they'll set a password when they accept, and they're in.
  • Already have a login: they'll sign in as usual and be added automatically.

They need to accept using the email address you invited — the link won't work for a different account.

Managing invitations

While an invitation is waiting, it appears under Pending Invitations with the date it was sent. Two buttons sit at the end of each row:

  • Resend — if it didn't arrive or got lost (ask them to check spam first; you can resend up to 3 times an hour)
  • Cancel — withdraws the invitation so the link stops working

Removing someone later

On the Team Members table, click the trash icon on their row and confirm. They lose access immediately.

Team members can't remove themselves — you control who has access, so a colleague leaving the company can't quietly drop off your account without you knowing.

Two things worth knowing:

An email address can only belong to one account. If they already have a portal login through another company, the invitation will be refused — let us know and we'll sort it out.

There's no self-serve way to add a second owner. If you need to hand off ownership, contact us.
